Mitigating Seismic Hazards and Disasters in Asia

GRANTS TO ASSIST PARTICIPATION IN ASC2010

Grant Policy:

Limited funds will be made available by ASC to support participants in the ASC2010 Scientific Assembly. These ASC grants are provided to eligible recipients on the basis of financial need and scientific contribution to the Assembly. Young scientists will be given special consideration. These ASC grants are ordinarily used only to pay registration fee and/or partial living expenses. Payment of grants will ONLY be made by the LOC. Requests for all grants should be sent to the LOC. Requests for financial support should NOT be made directly to the ASC Secretary General.

"VIETNAMHOST" Financial Support:

Presenting a paper at the meeting is a pre-requisite for valid candidates. Participants who meet these requirements must full in the appropriate application form and forward it to the LOC. This form must be received before July 30, 2010. The grantees will be selected by the LOC.

The deadline for receipt of Grant Application is the same as for the Submission of Abstracts: July 30, 2010.

Application should be sent to the ASC2010 Secretariat at the Hanoi Institute of Geophysics, Grant Applications shall not be sent directly to the convener or co-convener of a session, or to an officer of the ASC.
